With the growing concern about the spread of Coronavirus and how it may impact our communities, the health and safety of our residents remain our top priority on all the campuses at Deaconess Abundant Life Communities. Infection control has always been a top priority for our organization and our dedication to providing a safe environment for our residents, and the staff who care for them, is unwavering. We continue to diligently monitor information and guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We remain committed to inform and educate, while remaining available to answer any questions residents and families may have.

What is Independent Living?

April 17, 2020

Over the last month, as the pandemic of COVID 19 spread, there was a tremendous need for masks for healthcare workers.  Through the uncertainty of what was happening, we saw a greater collective pull out their sewing machines, call up their contacts and look to see what they could spare to donate to our community.

with the combined efforts of:

* Dimitra Tsatsos Cook

*Melissa Torrin

* Valerie McQuillan

*Eagle Hill school Head Master Peter McDonald

*Jenni Haley and Katelyn Mcvety of Valley Steel Stamp

*Umass face shields

*Deb Lafrance

There were over donated 350 masks to Rockridge Retirement Community.

Our staff cannot thank you enough for keeping us protected – we appreciate you!
